We know that demand is growing for emergency health care: one attempt to reduce the pressure on Accident and Emergency Units in hospitals has been to provide local “walk-in centres” in health centres, such as those in central Halifax and Todmorden. This was linked to extra GPs to treat people not registered with GPs.

Having just read the spring edition of the Conservatives newsletter, and not wanting to appear biased in anyway by being one of only two independents on the Council, I had to shake my head at some of the statements that were made.
